Smith & Truslow is happy to say that all of our spices, herbs and
spice blends are USDA certified organic. What does it mean to be USDA certified
organic? It means that during production—from seed to crop rotation, management
of pests, weeds and disease, and finally to harvesting—all materials and
practices are natural. No harsh chemicals or pesticides are used, so nothing
comes between you and the natural flavor!
Gluten-Free Certified by the Gluten
Intolerance Group
It can be surprising when you discover certain foods contain gluten but
rest assured—Smith & Truslow organic spices and herbs are certified
gluten-free. And our products are certified to contain less than 10ppm of
gluten. With a little help from these flavorful seasonings, you can always
prepare healthy, delicious gluten-free food.
Kosher Certified by EarthKosher
Kosher certification provides a seal of approval for our spices and
herbs, verifying that they conform to the Jewish dietary regulations of
kashrut. Smith & Truslow has been granted kosher certification by Rabbi
Yehuda Goldman, of EarthKosher.

When it comes to food safety, Smith & Truslow follows the good
manufacturing practice guidelines provided by US Food and Drug
Administration—practices to ensure that manufactured products are consistently
high in quality, from batch to batch, and safe for human consumption. We
undergo third party audits conducted by Merieux NutriSciences.
Nut Free
Although we are not certified Nut Free. We do not process nuts in our facility and all of our inbound ingredients are nut free.
